He has owned businesses and gained experience in banking, business development, and non-profit management. He served as CEO of Wildwood Hills Ranch for nearly 10 years. He previously served as Director of Sports and Development for the Des Moines Area Sports Commission. He also served as Director of External Affairs for the Drake Athletic Department. He and Kelly Lorenzen co-founded GodSpeed Equine. Through that ministry, they help at-risk youth and veterans using equine therapy.
