As Buy-Side Search Director, Ben guides buyers through the initial stage of their acquisition journey, conducting market research to help prospective clients hone their acquisition criteria, understand the search process, and execute effectively. He also educates buyers on how Calder’s Buy-Side team supports them throughout the entire process, from identifying and qualifying prospects to valuing, negotiating, and drafting offers on acquisition targets. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ben brings a diverse background with experience across multiple industries. He previously worked in the Corporate Finance Division at Whirlpool Corporation, where he identified energy-efficient real estate tax deductions and streamlined tax processes. His early career also included project management at Imagine Center for Psychological Health. Ben holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and studied Global Finance at the University of Namur in Belgium.
