Michael Greengard, retired founder of Praxis Business Brokers, began working full time in business brokerage in 2005. He sold mid-market businesses, main street businesses, and large and small franchise resales from California to New York. His industry experience covered manufacturing, distribution, service, retail, and e-commerce. His buyers and sellers continued working with Praxis, pursuing opportunities and referring prospective sellers and buyers. Before brokerage, he spent 25 years in industry; his roles included partner or 100% owner of mid-market manufacturers. He bought and sold seven businesses for himself or syndicates he served as managing partner. His decades operating businesses helped him understand owners' concerns as they navigated transitions to new ownership. He earned a B.S. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. He and his wife Lori still live in Ada Township, Michigan, where their residency spans 33 years. He now enjoys retirement with their three rescue dogs.
