About
Patrick McGowen is a Business Intermediary with Murphy Business in Bozeman, Montana, serving Gallatin County. He came to brokerage after 25 years as a transportation engineer in university research, teaching, and traffic engineering consulting. Alongside that career he owned and later sold two home-based businesses, Balloons Etc., a balloon bouquet and wedding decoration service, and Trendy Vendy, a candy and pop vending route. In 2010 McGowen bought his first investment property, and over seven years of part-time management built a portfolio of residential, multi-family, and commercial office real estate using partnerships and unconventional financing. He credits his econometrics and statistics background for his reading of financial statements and his sense of where a business has room to improve.
