Scott Stricker works with business buyers and sellers as a Business Broker at Benchmark Business Group. In city government he assembled fixed-asset and working-capital loan packages for hundreds of companies of every size, and he negotiated the purchase and sale of hundreds of commercial, industrial, and residential properties in Des Moines. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in 1975, majoring in Political Science and Economics. He earned a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan in 1977. He then spent nine years working as an Urban Planner for the City of Des Moines. He also led the City’s Economic Development office for 12 years. More recently he worked 12 years as a real estate developer, building retail and industrial properties, mixed-use town centers combining residential, commercial, and office space, townhouses, and single-family homes.
