He sold both offices in 2009, then continued working as an agent before starting the firm. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He began his career selling chemicals for a Fortune 500 company. He operated and grew his specialty contracting business's size and value over an 8 year period before selling it. He subsequently bought a retail paint business, operated it for another 2 years, then sold it. He holds real estate broker licenses in Georgia and South Carolina.
